What does Leverage & Lean stand for?
When I decided on the name Leverage & Lean I envisioned leveraging programming to improve how I work on my computer.
Still being new to programming I realized I could spend too much time automating processes and miss the big picture of what I was trying to accomplish.
That is when Lean came into the picture.
Lean is all about improving through the elimination of waste or anything that doesn’t provide value to the beneficiary of a process. Lean is a guide for me to ensure that when I write code, I am meeting my customers’ needs.
To simplify think of Leverage & Lean as the partnership of being Efficient & Effective.
Leverage = Efficient
&
Lean = Effective
The interesting thing I realized is that you shouldn’t have one without the other.
Let me explain…
…if you are Efficient but not Effective your customers are getting a lot of things they don’t want.
…vice versa being Effective but not Efficient your customers are satisfied but you can’t keep up with their demand.
